Our online tuition sessions provide interactive and engaging activities for each student. Alternating between Maths and English lessons each week, we focus on core skills within both subjects, giving students an opportunity to revise, rehearse and gain a greater depth of experience within the curriculum they learn at school.

Each session starts with a short activity designed to embed and revise certain elements of their learning, whether that be a short arithmetic activity or a quick grammar check. We then go through the homework from the previous lesson, marking the questions and ensuring the children have understood the learning. After that we move onto the main learning objective of the session, working as a group to go through the learning material, answering questions as we go. Homework is then sent out each week to reinforce the learning from that week’s lesson.

I am also passionate about wellness and mental health, specifically with children who, today, face immense pressures and expectations. There will always be a focus on mental wellbeing and building the confidence of our students during each session, reinforcing a growth mindset and helping them to feel successful regardless of their ability level. To me, this is one of the most important parts of engaging a child in their education and is a core element of what we do at TD Tuition.
